What is the Miracle League?
The Miracle League is a national organization determined to bring the game of baseball to children with disabilities around the globe. Our focus is to orchestrate programs and to help build accessible, rubberized fields so that every child has the chance to play baseball.
Where is the field located?
The field is located at the L.C. Bird High School Sports Complex (10301 Courthouse Road, Chesterfield, VA 23832), off of Route 10 in Chesterfield County. View a map and get directions at MapQuest. Once at L.C. Bird High School, go around the far side of the school building. The field is next to the large parking lot.
How can I help?
When someone asks us, "How can I help?", our first instinct is to say, "Make a donation." However, there are many other ways to assist. If you are looking for a way to help, take a look at the lists below. You should find something there you can do. If you are uncertain please call Karen Pusey at 804/229.4966. We can't do this alone ... please help!
What do you still need for the league?
Here is a partial list of what we need:

What do you need to keep the League going?
Once the field is built we will need all the following and more before we play our first game:
- Coaches and assistance coaches - Male or female 18 years or older, subject to background check.
- Angles in the Outfield - Every player needs a "buddy" to be with him or her at the plate and in the field. This can be a sibling, parent, and/or community volunteer.
- Team Moms - Preferably a mother of a player on their team.
- Team Sponsors - for uniforms and seasonal trophies.
- Event Planner - To assist in the years many events and planning (experience required).
A number of other volunteer positions are available. Please contact the Miracle League of Richmond for further information.
