Sound Tech Hints & Tips
Problem: Is it possible to get audio from a room that is detached from another room without drilling holes, digging trenches, or stringing cables overhead?
Possible Solution: There are various wireless loudspeakers available. Consult a professional for proper frequency allocation and operational considerations.
Problem: The wireless lavaliere microphone volume rises and falls when the talker moves their head.
Possible Solution: Move the microphone closer to the talker’s chin, or switch to an over-the-ear style microphone.
Problem: It’s time to upgrade our sound system. How do we know which system will best suit our needs?
Possible Solution: The room in which a sound system operates is a fundamental part of that sound system. It is very possible that excellent equipment will provide disappointing results in some rooms. When a sound system is designed for a space, the room’s dimensions, surface materials, background noise, humidity, temperature, and several other parameters must always be considered. You cannot make a proper selection of the necessary electronics without a thorough understanding of the construction and acoustics of the room in question. Talk to a consultant before you buy anything.
